  My son was here, what a pleasant experience, the staff was great. The facility state of the art. The only thing was there should be more security. Someone, saying he was a psych dr srolled in my sons room soliciting for patients. When I told the floor head nurse, she said he was not ssupposed to be doing that. So, im glad I reported it.

  This place is a godsend. To say that they set the bar high for other places is an understatement. The treatment my father received was above and beyond. This includes everyone. From the nursing staff, to the therapists, to the cafeteria employees to the front desk..this hospital/rehab facility is exemplary. No words can even begin to describe how thankful we are for our whole family's treatment.

  Much like the other bad experiences, the rehab services are great but many of the nurses and technicians are absolutely horrific. Currently, I've spent every night at this facility with my grandma, as she is receiving treatment for a stroke. She doesn't speak a lick of English, and so a family member's presence in order to translate is absolutely essential. Last night, at roughly 5 AM, two technicians came in and stuck a catheter straight into my grandma's urethra. Keep in mind, they did not ask me, they did not wake me up in order to translate. Instead, I woke up to my grandma screaming out in pain and yelling "ow" as that is the only English word she knows. I then woke up right away and asked them what they were doing and when they started. They then proceeded to laugh and tell me that they told my grandma but weren't sure if she understood. The proper protocol for this situation would have been to wake me up ahead of time, talk to me about the procedure, as well as have me translate so I could have explained it to my grandmother. At the very least, I could've then been there to calm her down and talk to her through it all instead of being woken up by her cries of pain near the end. After these technicians left, my grandma didn't say a single word. Before this, she was very responsive to my family and I, but after they did this, she didn't say a single word and instead, I watched as tears started filling her eyes. I've heard stories of awful care, but I never thought it'd be as invasive as sticking a catheter into a patient without making sure they understood what was going on.

  My mother is currently here after having surgery on her back. She is being harshly mistreated by the nursing staff fan has wet the bed two days in a row because they are not responding to the call button until after 40 mins or so. Also there are ants in the room where she is.
